The high chromium cast steel roll has high hardness, and its matrix structure is tempered martensite+carbide+a small amount of retained austenite. The carbides are mainly M7C3 and M2C, with good wear resistance and hot cracking resistance. The carbide content is low, generally about 10%. There is no special water cooling requirement for the rolling mill. The oxide film formed during rolling is conducive to improving the surface quality of rolled products. The high chromium steel roll is mainly used for the rough roll of hot strip steel, as well as the middle and finish roll, horizontal roll ring and vertical roll ring of section steel mill.
