Light universal drive coupling is a mechanical component used to connect two axes and transmit torque, which allows a certain angular deviation between the two axes. This coupling is named because of its simple structure, lightweight, and relatively low cost. It can accommodate angular deviations between the two axes, usually between 0° and 45°. Light universal drive couplings are usually designed with flexible rubber, polyurethane, or metal elastic elements to absorb shock and vibration. Due to its lightweight design, this coupling occupies less space and is suitable for applications with space constraints. Some light universal drive couplings are made of corrosion-resistant materials and are suitable for harsh environments.
